I am a Ph.D. student in Artificial Intelligence, under the supervision of Prof. Fosca Giannotti and Prof. Anna Monreale.
I have a Computer Science background: I received my Bachelor’s and my Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Pisa, both with the final mark of 110/110 cum laude.
The topic of my Master’s thesis was about developing a new algorithm tailored for training neural networks in a cross-silo Federated Fearning scenario and analyzing their privacy risks.
My research interests include the study of Federated Learning training algorithms, with a particular focus on the issues connected with the Ethical AI. In particular, I’m interested in designing methodologies which are able to guarantee, by design, that the final decison-makers are both privacy-preserving and fair.
