Muhammad Imran received his bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering and master’s degree in Computer Science. During his master’s thesis, he worked to develop deep learning techniques to evaluate the authenticity, validity, and relevance of discovered patterns so that they can be used confidently in the decision-making process. He has an industrial background given his experience as Senior Software Engineer in a USA-based IT company where he contributed to the development of various cutting-edge applications.
Driven by his passion to become an independent researcher, he is now a PhD candidate in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Pisa. His research focuses on developing biologically inspired vision for human-robot interaction. He is investigating and experimenting with various attention mechanisms and continual learning techniques in computer vision.
